This week’s OnTheStacks guest in the blu door studio is Al Ornoski, Retired United States Lieutenant Colonel Army Ranger and Founder & Owner of Protection 6. In this episode, Al talks about the mental and physical strength he gained as an Army Ranger while living and fighting alongside Afghan forces during his deployment in the Middle East. Al recounts the stark reality he faced when his helicopter was shot down in Afghanistan, and the lessons he learned in the military that now translate to both business and civilian life. This week’s OnTheStacks guest in the blu door studio is Kurt Krasavage, a former global sales leader turned real estate investor and humanitarian. Kurt dealt with some extreme trauma at a young age. All within a few years he watched his mother suffer from a massive stroke, lost multiple family members and friends in tragic deaths, and was crushed when he got fired from his job in Corporate America. But losing his job was a blessing in disguise as he saw it as an opportunity to follow his dreams. It allowed Kurt to restart his life and pursue his purpose of improving the community and helping people make a bigger impact on the world.
In this episode Kurt talks about overcoming adversity and opens up for the first time about his shortcomings and embarrassing failure that cost him his former career. Kurt also shares his experiences leading multiple mergers and acquisitions, building global teams, and setting and achieving goals.

This week’s OnTheStacks guest in the blu door studio is Kayla Wolthoff, an advocate for SCAD research. In August of 2022 Kayla Wolthoff suffered a life-threatening SCAD-induced heart attack. SCAD, which stands for Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection is a rare condition that occurs when there’s a separation or tear in the wall of a coronary artery.
As a very fit and active yoga-instructor, a heart-attack and dying at 30 years old was the last thing on Kayla’s mind. In this episode Kayla shares the lessons she learned from her near-death experience, her journey to recovery, and her message of putting yourself first and advocating for your health.

It was hard for Gus growing up in the projects of the Bronx and losing his mother at 16. At a very young age he was surrounded by gang activity, and to him, it just seemed like that’s how life was supposed to be. But when his mother passed, it changed his life forever. At that moment he knew if he stayed on the streets, there were only two paths ahead of him – Death or Jail, so he had to make a choice…
