Episode 120: #OnTheStacks in the blu door studio with The Artist Sachiko, a Queer Asian-American abstract artist. Sachiko was born in Hilo Hawaii, but grew up in the small town of Jordan in upstate New York. Growing up, Sachiko often felt alone and began to suffer from severe anxiety. But once she started creating art, she found a sense of relief. Her art is made for those who have a lot of feelings and is meant to spark connection, build community, and improve communication around mental health. By sharing her feelings, she hopes that others will also feel less lonely.
